Dr Charles Sotz was born in Argentina. He is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, with post-graduate work from the University of London and a doctorate from the University of Navarra, Spain. He settled in Kenya in 1983. He is the current Chancellor of University of Kigali (Rwanda) and a part-time lecturer at Strathmore University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He researches on public and private education and does voluntary work as Director of Nyali Study Centre, Mombasa. He was the University Secretary of Strathmore University and the Principal of Strathmore College.
